Hwy 169 Corridor Coalition 2025 Newsletter

Dear Members,

As we conclude another year for the U.S. Hwy 169 Corridor Coalition, I am delighted to reflect on our achievements in 2024. We engaged our membership to identify and reaffirm priority projects for Highway 169 and expressed our gratitude to legislators for their support on numerous projects along the corridor. To cap off the year, we unveiled the results of the Hwy 169 Project Prioritization process at the winter full membership meeting and received updates from MnDOT, Rep. Bakeberg, and Sen. Pratt. The event was graciously hosted by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community. See attached for our 2024 U.S. 169 Happenings Newsletter. 2025 Hwy 169 Coalition Newsletter

Having already started the year with a productive discussion with MnDOT about upcoming work on Highway 169 from the Ferry Bridge to south of the County 15 (Marystown Road) interchange. We expect an even busier 2025, with activities planned to help the Coalition achieve its mission of enhancing safety, reducing congestion, and maximizing economic development along the U.S. Highway 169 interregional corridor. Some upcoming activities include:

  • Coalition members attending the Transportation Alliance Transportation Day at the Minnesota Capitol to meet with legislators, advocate for transportation, and present our new Hwy 169 Project Priorities.
  • Spring full membership meeting where we will elect and welcome of new board members, as well as receive an opportunity to tour the new 19,000-seat amphitheater in Shakopee.\

The Corridor serves as a vital link between southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities metropolitan area and beyond. Your involvement has been crucial in driving infrastructure improvements that benefit all of our communities. A few of those improvements are listed below:

  • US 169 / TH 282 / CR 9 Project Update (Scott County)
  • Sand Creek Township Overpass Project Update (Sand Creek Township)
  • TH 169 / CH 41 / CH 14 Project (Scott County)

We are glad to have you with us on this journey!

Kindest regards,

Jim DuLaney; Hwy 169 Coalition Chair | Shakopee City Councilmember
